DESCRIPTION:Welcome to ASCAT 2026\n7-10 October\, Central Hall Westminster\, London\nOn behalf of the Academy for Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia (ASCAT)\, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 21st Annual Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Conference\, delivered in continued collaboration with the European Hematology Association (EHA). ASCAT 2026 marks the first chapter of our new multi-year conference series\, Haemoglobinopathies Without Borders\, beginning with Building Care That Lasts: Sustainability in Haemoglobinopathy Care. \nThis year’s programme focuses on the practical realities of delivering equitable\, high-quality care across regions\, systems and generations – examining how scientific progress\, workforce development\, policy\, advocacy and emerging therapies can be translated into durable models of care worldwide.
